is a busy season for us! Coming up shortly is the Sea Fever
concert, so please make sure you are contacting all your friends and
encouraging them to come to hear this lovely music. Remember there is another voucher from Dutch Delight up for grabs for the person who sells the most tickets!
What a stimulating, inspirational and educational day we had as the demonstration choir at the conductors' workshop. A big thank you to those who could make it and a big thank you to Jenny for giving us this fantastic opportunity. A night out with our partners and fellow singers and a time to celebrate together coming up...remember to purchase your Silver Jubilee dinner tickets from Visse! Encourage any past members you know to come and join us too! Entries close on Fri 12th August for the Margot Lloyd Vocal Scholarship. If you know of any local young singer who fits the criteria, please point them to our website. Flyers and tickets will be available shortly through Rosemary 09 486-5181. If you haven't been to this I can highly recommend it, so please spread the word! there will be wine/juice and nibbles after the finals concert. See the concert page on the website for details. By now you probably have downloaded all your learning MP3 files and using them lots, but a reminder that they are availble if you click on the link at the left of this page. The music for "Praise Be" is also there.
Change of Website Address!! As you may now realise the website has shifted and we have a new domain name to reflect the new name of the Chorale. We have shifted so that we can have more room for our website and it is much cheaper....in fact Ray Tomes is hosting this free of charge to the Chorale. Thanks Ray! Our new web address is: www.northshorechorale.org Make sure you bookmark our new home page at the above web address in your web browser. If you do still have the old address it will redirect you to this one. It has been such a busy year that the website development has gone on hold until later this year. |
Have your Say This
section is not developed yet, but we hope to have this devoted to a
communication area for members, so if, for example, you are trying to
arrange for others to go to a concert with you, you can leave that info
here and others can comment and say if they would like to join you.
We were sorry to hear of the death of Pauline Danby's Mum. Our thoughts are with you and your family Pauline.
Thanks
to all who helped backstage for "Crucifixus", with supper,
clean-up, dismantling staging, front of house, etc. It is very
heartening to the committee to see choir members and their families
joining in to help and support us.
